Practice without timing is mostly guesswork. The new tires feel faster, the car feels planted, and then somebody with a stopwatch politely ruins your afternoon. The SKYRC LapWiz Smart RC Lap Timing System replaces the guessing with real lap times, using infrared timing that needs no buried loop wire and no changes to the track at all.
Setup takes a couple of minutes. Plug the T01 transponder into a spare receiver channel on your RC car, put the timing unit on the aluminum tripod, aim it at the start/finish line, and connect over Bluetooth in the free SKYRC app for iOS and Android. Detection range is about 3-10m, and the magnetic sun visor snaps on to keep low sun out of the sensor on outdoor tracks. Two AA batteries run the timing unit for up to 300 hours of race time, which is more practice than most of us manage in a season.
The app is where it earns its keep. Practice, Qualifying, Race and Free Run modes cover everything from a solo evening to a club event with up to 99 cars, with real-time ranking, driver profiles, voice lap announcements and QR code race joining. Shadow Run is the one you will use most: it runs your current lap against your own best lap or a saved session with live delta feedback, so a camber change or a gearing change gets an honest answer instead of a hopeful one. Sessions save on your phone, back up to the cloud if you want them to, and the race screen can be cast to a TV over AirPlay or Android screen casting.
Worth knowing before you buy: this is a self-contained infrared system, so it works with LapWiz transponders and does not connect to a track's buried-loop personal transponder setup. One transponder is included and every extra car needs its own - the T02 enhanced, T04 battery-powered and T03 Mini-Z transponders are sold separately, and Mini-Z or other compact chassis need the T03. You will also need a phone or tablet, because the timing unit has no screen of its own.

Peace of mind with built-in liPo battery
The 5 hours' up-time on the built-in rechargeable LiPo battery can give enough racing time to RC drivers or pilots in the field! With the micro USB charging port, it is very convenient to connect it to a USB port or another compatible USB power source for charging.
The GNSS PA App software automatically charts slope on as time elapses. Saved runs can be read by the App, allowing analyzing of average speed, maximum speed, and acceleration within the given time and defined distance. You can also define your own performance windows for measuring braking time, acceleration (e.g., 0-30 km/h, 10-50 km/h, 10 meters or any custom setting), G-force measurement, Max Speed, Average Speed, Distance, High and Vertical Velocity.
The meter can also be used as a speedometer and provides accurate logging of speed data.

Built-in 1M Memory
The built-in 1M memory can record up to 50 records. And all the data can be transferred to the smartphone for analyzing! When the Flash is full, the previous record will be replaced automatically. Cold nitro starts are where starter boxes go to question their life choices. The SKYRC Engine Heater pre-warms .19-.26 RC nitro engines so the piston, sleeve, con-rod and crank are treated a bit less rudely during warm-up.
Powered from a 12V DC source, this compact 90W nitro engine preheater brings the engine up to approximately 60-70C in around 10 minutes, depending on ambient temperature. MCU-controlled heating, a built-in temperature sensor, low voltage cutoff and an automatic safety timer keep the process simple instead of turning pit prep into a small electrical opera.
The adjustable fireproof and heat-resistant cover fits over the engine head, while the top access port lets you check engine temperature without constantly removing the heater.
