The HobbyStar V3 160A is the higher-current 1/8 ESC in this Supersonic V2-style group. If you want more headroom than the 130A version for a heavier 1/8 build, this is the one to look at first: 160A continuous current, 1080A burst current, 3-6S LiPo support, IP67 waterproof design, dual XT90 battery plugs, and a compact aluminum heat-sink case.
The motor guideline steps up from 40xx-size to 42xx-size or smaller sensorless motors, which makes this the better fit for bigger 1/8 bashing and monster-truck setups. It still wants sensible gearing and motor KV, especially on 6S. More amps are helpful; they do not repeal thermodynamics, sadly.
The built-in BEC is switchable between 6.0V, 7.4V, and 8.4V at 6A, so you can feed standard or HV receiver/servo setups when the rest of the electronics support it. The ESC also includes motor overheat protection and the usual programmable surface ESC settings for throttle, cutoff, start/punch, brake, reverse, and thermal behavior.
