This is a connector for connecting two batteries with EC3 style plug connectors in parallel. With two batteries connected in parallel you will have double the run time of a single battery, but with the same power as one battery.

Does your vehicle have an electronic accessory such as cooling fan, LED lights, etc. with a JST connector? This in-line (parallel) device will allow you to power it off the main battery. 

The adapter features male / female EC3-style pass through with a JST female plug lead connected in parallel - the JST plug is attached to 5CM of 20awg wire - this wire is thicker and more robust than most other in-line solutions - it contains a whopping 100 strands of wire, the largest that will fit into a JST connector. 

You will have to be aware of the voltage limits of the device you connect to the JST plug lead to make sure that it can handle the voltage of the main battery connected to this adapter.

EC5 style connectors are rated for high current draw (120A continuous), accept up to 10 gauge wire and are very easy to solder. Very ergonomic, easy to use and provide very little resistance.
